Problem-Based Learning Model to Improve Learning Achievement in Islamic Religious Education Materials of Zakat

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how to apply the problem-based learning model to improve the learning achievement of class X-NKPI students about zakat at SUPM Waiheru Ambon. Knowing whether there is an increase in learning outcomes by applying the problem based learning model, and describing the learning outcomes of zakat material with the problem based learning model with KKM 70. The method used in this research is the class action research method (PTK). PTK is carried out as an effort to overcome problems that arise in the classroom. This method is carried out in four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The four stages are cycles that take place repeatedly and are carried out with the same steps and are focused on discussion learning as the practice of problem solving skills through problem based learning. The results showed that student learning outcomes using the problem based learning model had increased. This increase can be seen through the cycles that have been carried out. In cycle 1 the average pretest score was 29.26 and the posttest average score was 73.68. For cycle 2, the average pretest score was 47.68 and the posttest average score was 86. The increase in learning outcomes can be seen in cycle 1 is 0.621 while cycle 2 is 0.751. Student learning outcomes in PAI subjects using a problem based learning model has been maximized because the achievement of completeness KKM scores reached 86.84%.
